Technology for Instructors and Presenters

The Abbott Hall room is well equipped for transmitting your class or presentation to participants at distant sites and those in the room. It has 15 ceiling-mounted, voice activated student microphones. The instructor/presenter can use a desk-mounted microphone or a combination camera tracking device and wireless microphone. Furniture can be re-arranged in this room.

One 32" monitor gives the instructor a view of the far sites and a small monitor on the instructor's podium allows him/her to keep track of the program being sent out. Four 35" monitors and an additional wall mounted 27" monitor serve the students in the room enabling them to view distant sites and material the instructor is presenting.

Dell PC (Windows 98), with floppy drive, Zip drive, and CD-ROM

 

Software includes:

• Microsoft Office 97 (Power Point, Word, Excel)
• Netscape Communicator and Internet Explorer
• Adobe Acrobat Reader
• Various media players and peripherals.

Additional software can be installed upon request.

Displays plain-paper overheads, book pages, 3-D objects, or your notes as
you write
